My Dell 9250
I was given a dell 9250 as a gift but I wasn’t given the the administration password. And when I hit the esc button it shuts down, why does that happen and what can I do to fix the problem?

If you cannot login to the computer not having the system password, then you will have to call Dell tech support and after confirming you are the registered owner they can help. You posted in the Precision forum, is this actually an XPS laptop and if not can you confirm the model number? I ask because the XPS 9250 is approximately 8 years old.
