Precision 5540 touchpad issues on W10
Hi,
I work at a company that has Dell laptop workstations (Precision, Latitude) assigned to it's users, and are many.
Almost all (did not have time to test all of them) Dell Precision 5540's have an issue with built in touchpad.
Randomly, touchpad does not respond properly after pc is waken from idle and with blank monitor (not sleep). If you move the finger on it, mouse pointer starts to move only after a few seconds of continued finger movement - if you keep moving the finger-> mouse pointer works, but if you lift the finger and try again to control the pointer ->it will start over as the symptom.
A quick workaround to resume normal touchpad functionality is to press the laptop power button, wait 1-2 seconds and the press it again to resume and login again.
Thanks for looking into it.
