@Lexmerciful Yes, apparently my laptop was already on 6-cell though (that's what Dell sales person said). I received a new 6 cell battery in Aug 2022, but only recently replaced it (Feb 2024) because I didn't really travel that much so I was almost always using the dock.
It's been great. I also set the max batter charging level to 80% to increase the battery life. I think even with 80% I almost never worry about battery for a couple hours, which is great.

Did this work out? I am also 5550 user so I am curious.
Oh! Look at what I found... now Dell offers 6 cell for Precision 5550 too! YAY! So it must work?
I am pretty sure this was not an option before. I checked like every 6 mo or so...
