Precision 5550 Won't wake properly

Dell Precision 5550

When the lid is closed and it sleeps, Opening the lid brings up the login screen, it then just reboots itself and has to scan the disc. It wasn't always doing this so something has changed.

When this happens it then refuses to charge unless I force it to reboot with the charger unplugged and then plug it in after I log in. This sometimes requires several restarts.

It seems to do the same when waking from sleep in Linux or Windows

All drivers are up to date, Bios is up to date. It has already had one new motherboard, The chargers are both working fine.

I followed a Dell tutorial on fixing sleep problems to no avail.

Hello.

I feel like it has been going on a few weeks now, And it has not been near anything magnetic.

Thanks.

Thank you for writing to us. I'm Rohit, and I will be assisting you.

If I have understood correctly, you’re facing an issue with the system.

Please be assured that I will look into this and I will do everything possible from my end to ensure that the issue is resolved to your satisfaction at the earliest.

Before we proceed, I have a couple of questions to understand the issue better:

1.  How long have you been facing the issue?

2.  May I know if any magnetic objects are placed near the computer?

I have also just done everything the virtual assistant suggested but I had already done them all short of doing a system restore. I only reinstalled windows a few weeks ago and it does this in Linux too so not sure how that would help.
