Precision 5570 - Epic FAIL
I have just purchased a highly spec'd Precision 5570 (Top of the line) $10,000 laptop from Dell. What a disaster!
The laptop was delivered to me (the customer) blue screening - FAIL.
I attempted to restore the default factory image using SupportAssist OS Recovery in the BIOS - FAIL
I created a bootable Dell image for the model and attempted to install - FAIL.
Contacted Dell Support and they said, It must be the controller on the motherboard. We will send out a Dell engineer to swap out and replace the motherboard on your newly purchased $10,000 AUD laptop. That should fix the problem. It did not - FAIL
Option - Reset to factory settings is not an available option under Reset in BIOS as it is greyed out - FAIL
Process fails at the same spot in the 'Reset and update in progress' procedure using either SupportAssist OS Recovery in the BIOS or using the bootable media process. A few seconds into the Downloading Recovery Contents, process immediately fails on first item 'Operating System Recovery' and displays a orange triangle with an explanation mark then reports "Download verification was unsuccessful. Please restart the download process."
Technical Support has no idea, field technicians have no idea. Seriously, this is one of Dell's most expensive high-end laptops, how can Dell deliver this model to business customers in this state?
Please quickly address and fix the problem.

I had the exact same issue with recovery and i had to get a fresh Win 11 ISO image from Microsoft and wipe the entire disk clean to reinstall.
Forget about Dell Support Assist. It doesn't work.

I am on my 3rd motherboard on a 5570. It is the most expensive piece of JUNK I have ever purchased. After 25 years I am done with Dell. They are just making cheaper builds at inflated prices. I could never recommend Dell to anyone that needs a reliable Laptop.
When I state they are junk, i mean it.
