Precision 7740 Keyboard Problem?

I did a search for keys requiring higher than normal pressure but didn't find anything.

Same Precision 7740 as the battery problem discussion.

This started a few days ago.  Laptop on, plugged in, working normally.

Keyboard SORT-OF works.  Most keys a normal, but different ones at different times need to be pressed much harder than normal to work.  I didn't find anything in the search, so I presume it's not a widespread problem, but it's a big pain in the neck when the "v" you pressed 4 words ago didn't show up.  Or the "p"...  Or whichever character doesn't appear to be working this moment.

If I press the key HARDER than normal, it appears to work.  The next time I press the key it may work FINE.  Then later require more pressure again...

If this is a BIOS issue, I'm on 1.11.2 (I think), which is outdated and I can update if it'll help...

Try using a USB keyboard and if it works properly then the laptop keyboard needs to be replaced. Parts-People has those keyboards at their site here.

I'll try one of the wireless keyboards I usually use with the laptop, and see.  I hope a lot MORE stuff doesn't fail on this thing.  It's not confidence inspiring a few weeks after the 3-year warranty ends.

I have the same problem with all keys requiring a lot of force for the input to register. This issue started after an update.

Every key is the same.
