Precision M6500 Mobile Workstation: new primary disk not recognized

Hello,I have a Dell Precision M6500 mobile station, with 2 SATA disks of 500 GB each, configured in RAID1, and running Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. I want to replace the 2 existing 500 GB disks (primary and secondary), with 2 sata disks of 2 Tb each. I proceed as follows:1) I start by replacing the secondary 500Gb disk with one of the new 2Tb disks, then I reboot the system, and rebuild the system on the new secondary disk, using 'Intel matrix Storage manager': This operation is carried out with success.2) I remove the 500 GB primary disk, then I restart the system: the bios reports that Raid 1 is in a degraded state. However, Windows restarts normally: this operation is carried out successfully3) I place the second new 2Tb disk in the empty slot (primary disk), and I restart the system: windows 7 restarts correctly, while reporting that raid1 is in degraded state: the new primary disk is not recognized .The bios also only recognizes the secondary 2Tb drive (primary disk not recognized).In conclusion:The system cannot recognize the new 2Tb primary disk.   My question: Is there a solution to recognize the new primary disk at both the bios level and OS level (under Raid1 configuration)? Thanks

If there is no hardware issue, you can try with creating new volume and migrating the working drive to a new RAID 1.
