Replacing SSDs on a DELL Precision M6700

Hi,

my DELL Precision M6700 is equipped with three SSDs (the 2nd and 3rd mirrored by RAID 1).

I found videos on YouTube on how to replace the main SSD, but I couldn't find information on how to replace SSD #2 and #3.

Is there any instruction available on how to replace these?

What form factor do new SSDs need come with in order to fit?

Your answers are appreciated!

They are 2.5" SATA drives -- this system does not support M.2 drives.

The service manual is linked below - there are slots for two drives.  If you have a third, it must be installed in place of the optical (DVD) drive.

Thank you for your reply.

Actually, I do have a Bluray drive built-in. And 3 SSDs.

The manual only explains the primary and secondary hard drive, but doesn't explain where to find the tertiary drive.

@ejn63 An SSD is either PCIe or SATA. It can't be both.
