Touchpad issue with Dell precision 5530
My touchpad cursor is right aligned and working errantly. I need to drag my cursor from right to the derired position. It does the same with external mouse is connected.
Dell says it is more than 5 years old and no support can be provided neither any part replacement.
What to do in this case.

Start with checking the condition of the battery. Touchpad and or keyboard malfunctions are often the first sign of a battery that's starting to swell. Remove the base cover and check the battery. If it's at all swollen, remove and dispose of it immediately. The system will work on AC power until you can order a replacement.

Thank you for the reply.
Yes it is swell.
Where do I get a fresh battery of precision 5530 which is more than 5 year after the AMC.

Look for a reputable supplier of third-party batteries -- this system is from 2018, so it's unlikely new OEM batteries will be avialable.
