U3417W, Precision 3520, Dock, PC audio ding

Just got a U3417W. I have noticed there is a constant ding from system sounds after hooking it up. The only way to "stop" it is to mute system sounds. I also think the same issue is causing my PC not to sleep any longer. I have tried both DP as well as HDMI with multiple cables from different manufacturers including the ones that came with the U3417W. The dinging noise is heard both on the built in speakers as well as via headphones attached directly to the PC. The computer is a Windows 10 custom built gaming PC. AMD Ryzen 1800x, Gigabyte GA-370 system board, XFX RX580 XXX video card. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest video card, drivers. I have DDM installed as well. I do not think it is an issue with the PC as the previous monitors were Dell UltraSharp U2417H that I did not have this issue with. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

* For my internal notes, click my name and private message me the U3417W service tag number and 20 digit alphanumeric serial number
* Was this U3417W purchased directly from Dell?

I think that the audio ding is "new hardware" being discovered by Windows 10. But once discovered, it should stop? Once the U3417W is connected via a single video cable and USB upstream cable to the PC, then you do a PC restart, do the audio dings continue?

Move the U3417W to a different PC. Does the audio issue appear on the different PC?

I have it hooked up to a Dell Precision 3520 as well via Mini Display Port to a Dell USB C Dock. I have not had this problem with other monitors through the previous display was a 24" Dell Ultrasharp that was connected via DP and did not have this issue. Nothing else has changed with the Custom build desktop other than the monitor.

Moving this thread to the Precision Mobile board to see if Precision Mobile users can assist.

I would remove the dock from the troubleshooting and test the Precision 3520 directly to the U3417W to see if the issue still happens.

Precision 3520 rear HDMI out port --> U3417W HDMI to HDMI cable --> U3417W HDMI in port

Precision 3520 side USB Type-C port --> USB Type-C to DP cable --> U3417W DP in port
