3010cn and Vista 64 communication problems
WE have a new lap top with Vista 64 installed. After connecting via network to our 3010cn and installing the latest drivers from the Dell web site. I can print a test page then the version txt page. but after that every thing that I try to print returns an error "Invalid PDL request / PDL request 016-720".
Can anyone give me a solution to this problem?

I know it's a little late but just in case. I spent at least half a day trying to figure out what was going on and nothing I Googled seemed to help at all. But I finally got it to work. I set my printer to DHCP and had it's IP address added to the routers "pre-assigned DHCP IP addresses".(I'm not sure if this had anything to do with the issue in the first place). And then what I never tried before was selecting the "hold mismatched documents" under printer properties and then advanced tab. That seemed to do the trick for. Hopefully this might help some people.

Nearly 6 years after your post, one user in a 30-user network (everyone prints via the shared printers on the server) started having this issue on a Windows 7 laptop - no one else had the issue. Needless to say, we were about to wipe and reload the laptop when I came across this post. I'll be darned, we changed that setting of the printer on the server and now that laptop prints just fine... {bang head here}
Thanks for posting.
