Printer V715w not working well

Hello!

I believe I am about 7 years late to the party, but I had this printer for a while, new in box due to moving several times. Now that I am settled, I tried installing it wirelessly or USB and it is driving me crazy.

I have to keep deleting it and re-installing its drivers, and even then I can only print one page at a time before it decides it needs a break. So my 3rd page (of a word document - 19 mb) is in queue forever (13 minutes now).

Please help.

Anaik17,

Restart the computer and the rest of the documents will print.

Solution to get it to print without restarting the computer...

Turn off the balloon tips for the printer.

(Right click) Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show.

Thank you so much!

Unfortunately, none of those solutions work :'(

I also read through other posts and ended up deleting the stock adobe reader which is the only time when the queued document printed in totality (well, odd pages thereof). Tried to replace it with adobe options available online (reader or pro trial) to no avail.

Anaik17,

I would reinstall the printer using the instructions below. Then the next time you print from Adobe Reader and other programs like Microsoft Word, click on file, print and make sure the proper printer is listed for the print job.

First run Delete Print Jobs to remove any stuck print job in the queue.

Disconnect the printer.

Hit the Windows key and the x keys at the same time, programs and features, your printer, uninstall.

Restart your computer. Make sure the printer is removed. Manual Printer Driver Removal

Download the Vista 32-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 32-bit or the Vista 64-bit drivers for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 64-bit. Install the Vista drivers in the Vista Compatibility mode you’ll get a message, the printer is not connected. Connect the printer at this time (powered on).

Links to the drivers can be found at…

Remember virus programs and firewalls will block communications.

Thank you so much, again, Rockstar Rick!

Somehow today it worked well enough, without me doing any of the new things you so kindly suggested.

I am definitely going to try them, should I encounter any problems in the future.
