PowerEdge R730, RAID 1 with OS does not recognize aditional RAID 0 HDD

Hello and Good Day:

I have an R730 with two SAS HDD 300 GB in RAID 1, where my operating system is installed, and i need to install another HDD, this time, a SATA 1TB, but the operating system does not show my new drive, i read in the forums here and there that i need to create a new Virtual Disk with RAID 0, in order to my disk be detected by the operatinmg system, the problem is that i already do this and, nothing, i change the SATA settings from AHCI to RAID in the BIOS too, i don't know if that's gonna help, but i did it.

Please, i need some help(yep, a totally original and never written expression on this forum)

TeddySven,

There are a couple things that could be happening. First off is that the drive isn't compatible, which I don't think is the case as you could configure the Virtual Disk. Second could be that the Virtual Disk wasn't initialized after creation, or a possible driver issue. Let me ask you a couple things.

What is the controller installed on the system, and is it up to date?

What method did you use when you installed the OS, OS Deploy in Lifecycle Controller, create raid and then boot direct to media, use did you use a Dell install disk (which)?

Let me know.

Thanks you very much for your time, i just figure it out a couple of hours ago, i creaded the virtual HDD, and i was enable to mount it with the built in windows feature disk management, the partition just was unasiggned, and that's was all, thank you again for your time, hope somebody out there finds this helpful in his time of need.

Cheers...
