8300 Locks Up when CD/DVD is inserted
This happens AT LEAST 50% of the time. All drivers/windows updates etc. are current. I have a DVD-ROM and the infamous TEAC DVD burner (it happens in either drive.) This is very irritating. I suppose I should spend an hour or so on the phone with support, but wanted to check if anyone had a similar problem and/or solution before that investment. Thanks in advance.

You didn't provide much, except it has a problem.
What other programs do you have open when it "locks up"? How much RAM memory do you have? Does it do it on specific DVD's? or ANY DVD? (if you've looked at which ones do it). Have you tried reinstalling the DVD player (or updating it if an update is available)?
What version of Direct X do you have?
