BAD_POOL_HEADER stop error screen when using dvd/cd data disk after Norton 2007 installed.

I am using an INspiron 9100 with dvd/cd as my data backup. I had no problems with it until I installed Norton Internet Security 2007. The backup disks crash with blue screen error Bad_Pool_Header. Dvd's play fine in the laptop. I used Sonic record now to format the cd for data. Can anyone help me? I sent help message to Norton as well. Thanks all.

I'm having the exact same problem with an XPS after installing Norton Internet Security 2007.  Any attempt to read media that was burned to disk results in an instant BSOD with the BAD_POOL_HEADER error.

Any help would be appreciated here also.

How about either Dell or Symantec stepping up and addressing this issue.

See http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=insp_general&message.id=231840.

If you uninstall Norton the problem disappears.

I'm having the same problem with my Philips DVD8701 drive, and uninstalling NIS 2007 isn't an option here at work. Have you had any success with a driver update or anything? I've tried updating all my Roxio/Sonic products, with no success.
