Boot CD for D600

How do I make a Boot CD for a D600. There is no floppy drive and I get message "No bootable devices--strike f1 to retry boot, f2 for set up"
Seller stated hard drive was washed with drive washer for clean install of OS. But did not provide system cd's with laptop.
Any help?

Hi,

If you have an XP CD, you can boot from it. If it is enabled in Bios as a boot device, it will boot from it. Even 2000 will boot if you choose to load it.

put your windows CD in the CDROM and when you turn it on press F12 and it will give you a boot option and then select boot from CDROM/DVDROM drive and it should take off...
