Boot up problems @ Raid driver

I have D8400 bios a09 was a03 purchased 2-05. Original seagate drive has been replaced w/ WD and never installed virus protection. Eventually worm.win32.netsky was detected on my machine.
I have since reinstalled the OS with the orangecolored disc xp media center version 2005 w/update rollup 2.  Original disc was burgandy.
I missed F6 prompt for raid driver installation.
Is this driver included in the disc?
Can I run a repair of windows to correct?

My computer has been hanging on boot up and I have to shut down hard a few times. I am using AOL dialup if this is a factor.

If your machine works properly in Windows, I would think the driver is installed. Normally, when the disk drivers are incorrect you get a BSOD on boot.

After the welcome screen the mouse locks up.  Also runs too slowly.

Sounds like something else. I don't see how you could get that far with the wrong disk driver.

Did you try safe mode?
