Hi Ron,
Our information on Sonic`s software has been somewhat limited and too there seems to be some issues with the Packet Writing program DLA. Consider jumping over to Sonic`s site and check for any possible updates for your version. What information we do have can be found in Section 13-0 of the CD/RW link in my post.
Seasons Greetings !
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,
the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the
difference.

I have heard that Roxio is better to use but will Dell still help other programs I know they will not help with Roxio. Do you think I should change out from Sonic. I do have a friend who just got a Dell and is have the same things happen with her computer but she will not buy any thing she don't have to.
I'm just asking should I change out what version should I get 6 or 7 all I have is a CD-Rw Burner not a DvD burner.

Ron: You are asking if you should keep your Ford or buy a Chevy or Chrysler???
I like Roxio but don’t have any problem with Sonic or Nero… Regardless of what software you have, you have to learn how to use it.
I know that DLA cannot use R media. You never gave any details about the media you were trying to format.
If you want to go with Roxio, go with V7. V6 is still being made but there won’t be anymore updates to it.
Even without a DVD Burner, you can still take advantage of the vast video package of V7 to make VCD/SVCDs.
In any case, go for a boxed version. You just can’t beat having a CD for reinstall.

Yes that is what I was after. Verbatim is pretty good stuff so I am surprised that it is having trouble with it… If you have another brand available it would be nice to try that.
Jeff & I didn’t mention it but no packet writer has ever been accused of being reliable! One has to wonder, how much effort do you want to put into an unreliable writing method?
