Can I make a Data DVD readable on a second computer?

Burning software:
Sonic RecordNow ver 6.5.0
Burning on a
DVD+RW drive:
NEC ND-1100A

The files (MP3s created from my CD collection) read on the NEC and on an internal  DVD Rom (HL-DT-ST-DVD-ROM GDR8163B according to the device manager) on the same computer.
When I put the disk in my latitude laptop with a CD Write/DVD read only drive, the laptop recognizes the disk and displays the volume name, but sees no folders of files.  Put the disk back in either drive of the dimension and it is fully functional.
I'm using a no-name16X DVD+R, but the same thing happens with other brands.
Any ideas?
A link to a good source for burning modes etc. might be of help.
Thanks

Hi RGilder,

I was going to say the disc may not be closed or finalized but since your DVD-ROM can read the disc, not the issue. May I ask, did you use the mastering program or a Packet Writing program (Sonic DLA, Nero InCD, etc.. ) to create the data disc?

Merry Christmas !

That's it.  Thanks!
I failed to check the write once option.  After doing that, the disk worked fine on both computers.  For someone searching on this in the future, click on the tool icon (wrench), select data in the options window that pops up and select "I only need to use disks for one recording."
