cd backups

When I chose the backup option from my software, I am no longer prompted to copy the files to a cd. The files are copied to c:/documents and settings/user name/local settings/application data/microsoft/cd burning. Anyone know why?

Open My Computer, then right click on your CD-RW drive and select Properties. See if there is a DLA tab and/or a recording tab there. If you see a DLA tab, click that and check the box to enable DLA. That should fix your problem.

The DLA box is already enabled. I also tried to drag and drop the files to the cd but I get this message: Cannot copy (file): Files on this cd-rom drive are read only. You canot move files over to this cd-rom drive.
Any other suggestions?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Sonic DLA.

This is one of the many reasons I usually advise people to avoid this program. It causes nothing but trouble.
