CD drawer doesn't open

I have copied documents to a CD and now the drawer won't open.

The CD is a Verbatim DataLifePlus Direct CD formatted 2x-4x speed; 533 MB

Hope someone can help.  Thanks in advance!

It sounds like DirectCD has taken control.  Try ejecting the CD
through the DirectCD Eject function.

Hello, Skybird

Thanks so much for your quick answer.
I feel as though I can't do anything right today -- how do I find DirectCD on my PC?
I checked under all programs and it doesn't show up there.

Hello, again,

a quick update - I have Roxio Easy CD creator and found an eject button there.  I was under the impression that Roxio was a separate function from DirectCD.  My husband pushed in error the wrong button and actually shut off my PC.  So I still don't know wether that action or pressing the Eject button caused the drawer to open.

My concern is that this may happen again and I don't know what I have learned. Thank you again for your interest and for your help.

DirectCD is the packet writing portion of ROXIO Easy CD Creator.
It requires formatting a disk for "drag-and-drop" use.  When this
is done, DirectCD will take over the drive.  When you start DirectCD,
you will see the FormatCD button on the screen: below that is the Eject
button.
