CD Drive message D:\is not accessible Incorrect function

My CD drive plays my music on cd and shows my old photos on CD but when I attempt to make a new photo Cd is get the message that my D drive (cd) is not accessible and it's an incorrect function.  I have ran troubleshooter and it says no problem.

Hi, Bell:

Let's see if I can help. Would you please post some information for me:
1. The model of your Dell computer.
2. The model of your CD or DVD drive, which can be found in Device Manager (Right click My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device manager).
3. The name of the program you are using to write to blank CDs.
4. The exact brand, speed and type of blank CDs you are using.

Osprey - I've never done this before so hope I am replying correctly.

 

My Dell Computer is Dell Dimension DIM 4300

 

My CD drive is D:NEC  NR-7800A

 

The CD's I am using are Verbatim CD-RW, 2x -4x speed  74 min, 650mb
