Cd drive not opening...

Hi, I purchased a Dell 600m notebook on 10/20/04. Everything is great  except for one problem that started happening a week ago. I can not open the CD drive by pushing the button. When I go to my computer>drive d>eject CD, nothing happens either. I have to put a paper clip in the hole on the drive to get it open. Should I call Dell or can i fix this myself?

I hope someone can give you the answer you are looking for, because I have the same problem.  we both have the same notebook.  I have mine for about two years.  You still have warranty for a free fix since you've only had it for a month.  You should call them.  Good luck.
