Lets see if this might be a driver issue; click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1. If this does not help, then considering the ystem is brand new, a cable may have become loose in shipping. Open the case and re-seat the IDE cabl going from the motherboard to the back of the drive. Instructions for your system can be found within the User Guides link under the Product Support Tab above, follow the directions to the links.
