Hi Sunirx,

Open the tray and see if there might be a label or something on the inside that may be causing an imbalance. Also you may have to open the case and make sure the drive is seated firmly in the cage.

Sounds like a poorly balanced disc. Does it do this with all discs in the drive?
 
Having this drive on the bottom should make no difference. What system? Is this pretty new?

I know EXACTLY what is happening, it happened to me too.  What is happening, is the cd-drive has been Improperly put into the computer.  In order to fix this, you will need to get your computer directly repaired by an EXPERINCED technician.

 

Another probable cause is that the computer is set on top of an un-level surface, and when the drive spins the cd, it causes the computer to shake
