cdrw not recognized
Hi, I had a friend install a cd burner and it is neither read in my computer or device manager. At start up is says press f2 to enter set up and f1 to continue. We have gone into set up and can't find any settings to change so the computer reads the new cdrw. I think he pull teh cdrw out of an old hp he had. Thanks for youkr help

Check the Secondary IDE Channel for the two drives. Make sure both are Enabled. Until
the drives are seen by the Set-up, you will never see them in Windows.

the Master (end of cable when using Cavble Select). The other dive is not
recognized. Are you sure it is jumpered as Cable Select? Is the IDE cable
seated correctly and making good contact?
