cd's wont record

Question

Trying to record with my cdr; I've used different cd's and have had no success(actually it worked once out of a hundred times).I get to 95% completed on burning then my cd 's are ejected. I am trying to record a video file 23.60mb.

Also, while I was trying to fix this problem I lost my Sonic Record and Sonic DLA.

This is perhaps too obvious, but have you checked to be sure that the amount of data you are trying to burn will fit on your CD?  I have read that a 700 MB CD will not actually hold 700 MB of data that you want to burn, it needs some room for information about the data that has been burned.  Also, if I remember correctly, CDs vary a little bit in the amount of data they will hold, depending on the manufacturer.   Klae

hi

i think the maximum for a cd is around 715mb using overburn. that is a avi file that is 715mb not music files.

it might be worth trying to enable over burning ,and yeah keep it around 700 not over in file size ... and try to record at a slower speed? maybe you're experiencing a buffer under run?

Hi Kman,Go to Device Manger, click the '+' next to DVD/CD Drives and post what is listed.As for Sonic, click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 13-0, article 24 for the clean re-install of the software.
