At the moment we are seeing issues with Sonic`s DLA program causing conflicts with software installation, games, etc... If per chance you have it, consider disabling it. Click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to section 13-0, article 12.
Best Regards

The failed install may have corrupt a driver, click on the CD/RW link in my post and scroll to Section 15, article 1. this is a standard step to try and Windows will reinstall the proper drivers once ou re-boot.
If this does not help, then try Windows XP Restore Feature, same CD/RW link, Section 100, article 17, you can roll the system back to a date before the problem started. (Hopefully)
Best Regards

Many thanks for your reply. However, when I double click on My Computer, I do not get "CD Device,
only "local disk", "shared documents" and "my documents". None of these lead to CD device.
What now?
