There is a cable that connects the hard drive (or M.2) to the mainboard - one of the Dell engineers recently posted that there are two different parts - one for the M.2 adapter and a different one for a 2.5" SATA drive. The cables are not identical electrically.

The M2 drive was in an adapter, and the adapter is plugged in a SATA connector than seem to be classical. So I can Plug without any problem, but the detection don't match.

The connector for a SATA 2.5" drive is different from the one used for an M.2 drive - yes. You'll need to contact Dell Spare Parts to order the part.
