CPU doesn't recognize my cd drives
Hi, I really don't know what happened to my cpu. My younger brother did something to it and now it doesn't recognize either of the 2 cd drives i got on it. Under "My computer" there's supposed to be a "d" and "e" letter symbol, but i gets nothing. And i can't play anything on them, can someone please help, I would really appreciate it, thanks,

Hi Traggik,
We have seen this issue in the past be related to the Upper & Lower Filter if per chance your OS is Windows XP. Click on the CD/RW gif in my post and scroll to Section 100, article 31.
These articles may helps as well, same CD/RW site, Section 20, article 3; Section 11, articles 2 & 1.
Best Regards
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway,

In addition to Predator's advice also check to see if your brother didn't install Windows TweakUi. If he did then you will have to enable the drives under the My Computer Tab of TweakUi in order to view them in Windows. I'm just guessing that little brother may have wanted to take advantage of the Paranoia features of TweakUi so you wouldn't check up on his surfing habits. I could be wrong though, but thought I would mention it.
