With cyclic redudancy errors, if it's consistent (happens every time you try to copy), and at the same place every time, either the media it's on on the destiniation is usually corrupted in that area.
Check your drive properties and you'll find a DLA tab. You can disable DLA there, then try again. If that does not help, then it's your media. I suggest you try Verbatim, Maxell or Taiyo Yuden. Avoid Memorex and Imation especially.
