D drive save problems

When I save data on my Dell to CD (D drive) I cannot access it on any other PC. When I insert a CD into my Dell it does not recognise it so I have to format it. I can then save my files (data not music or films. If I try to load these files on any other PC the CD cannot be read. But if I try explore the file on my Dell the files can be seen.
I am using standard CD-recordable 700MB discs 48x speed.
I am formating by right clicking on the D drive icon in explorer and choosing format (quick). The DLA option is ticked and I cannot untick this.
Is it a formating type problem? I don't see any other format otions.
 Regards
Scott

Hi Scott,

Sonic`s DLA program is not the best.
You can try the update / patch for Sonic in the Downloads for your system under the Product support tab.
If you would rather use CD-R disc not have to format them, use the mastering program Recordnow to make a data disc. If DLA somehow has you locked out, disable it. I have the information in Section 13-0 of the CD/Rw link in my post.

Best Regards
