Maybe; purchase a 2.5" external drive case for an EIDE drive, attach the drive to a working system, and see what you can read.
If you can read the data, you're all set. If not, there are professional data recovery services that can likely recover the data - it's not inexpensive (on the order of $2,500+) but such services are usually successful.
Well I finally got "safe Mode" to work and moved all the files I wanted to my USB drive. Thank TO guy above!I had my daughters graduation pictures an movies on it. That was the MOST important files I needed. But as for all my programs passwords, usernames and registration stuff I guess it's lost. ( I know I should of wrote that stuff down! But $25oo bucks is a little outa my range!You'd think I'd learn by now after having 3 HD failures on my computers over the past years....DUH!Thnaks anyway!
