Debugging
I have a 40gig hard drive in my 4500. I just ordered a 80gig hard drive, I want to use the 80gig as my master hard drive and the 40gig as a slave. How do I wipe out my 40gig where nothing will be on it at all? I had to debug it twice and the person on the phone "tech suport" told me that debugging wipes tha hard drive CLEAN! How do I debug it dont really want to call them again for a 2hr phone call. Is this the best way to do it? If so please let me know how to debug my hard drive. Email me with the info please. richman_72473@yahoo.com

richman72473,
That debugging script is really only necessary when there is severe corruption. A simple format should work fine if all you are doing is swapping operating systems.

richman72473,
Once you format it and write data to it, it's safe. Technically, yes, somebody could get data off it but we're talking about software and technology that's not easily available. We're talking James Bond.

richman72473,
That depends on what operating system you are using. Your best bet there would be to post the question in the Software section under the operating system you are using.
