Diagnostics- Message 0F00:133D
I started a Dell Diagnostics from the hard drive and used the Express Test option. A problem was encountered during the test, error code 0F00:133D with message; IDE failed, incompatible C.D. for testing, but no instructions on how to fix this error was displayed on the screen .
Under "Identifying Drivers" all directions were followed but no device had an exclamation point on the device icon, indicating a need to reinstall the driver or install a new driver. Therefore I could not use Windows XP Device Driver Rollback.
How do I fix this problem?

sho_ter,
Thanks for using the Dell Community Forum.
Can you tell us what errors you were getting that prompted the diagnostics, what model computer and what hardware and so on. Please try to provide as much information as possible.

The exact same thing happen to me two days ago. I was just sitting at my machine getting ready to surf when the hard drive starting making a sound and the hard drive light came on and stayed on like it was trying to do something. After that my computer slowed down really bad. I powered it down and then back up as it took like an hour to reboot. It was stuck on the "Window XP Home" screen for a long time. Eventually it came back up but it was really slow the hard drive light was still on. Pressing ctrl, alt, delete, after about 10 minutes when that loaded I notice my system idle cpu at 99. So I pull out my resource disk and did a diagnostic. I receive that same error code "0f00:133D with message; IDE failed, incompatible C.D. for testing: Basically my machine slowed down where it was unbearable slow it would take minutes to hours to do things. Later I was able to do a chkdsk, which took like 8 hours, it was stuck on like 29% for the longest time. I had to go to work so I figured I'll deal with it when I get home so I left it like that keep in mind that when I powered it down I disconnect the modem so I would not have any internet connection. The next day I figured the chkdsk eventually finish and rebooted itself now my machine is working just fine, any explanation for this? Performance is back everything is back to normal. My CPU is still at 99% but it's still lightening fast. I have a dimension 4600: Processor, 80532, 2.66G, 512, 533, SKN, Decision One,
