My guess is I did not. I have printed off the correct order sequence. What next? Also when I reinstalled all the fonts are huge and could not change them anywhere. Is this due to the wrong sequence as well? Thanks for the help.

Could be, did you install the graphics driver, together with all the drivers that are listed, for your laptop?
You could try using 'safe mode' to install any missing drivers, if this does not work, then carry out a clean reinstall of XP and install everything in the correct order.
Personally, I would try running diagnostics on the hard drive first, to make certain that there's no failure.

No,you need to do a system restore.Go to Control Panel>Backup and restore>Use System Restore To Fix Problems and Undo Changes to Windows.

No, when you erase the hard drive, the Dell PC system restore feature is made unusable.
0f00:065d error message means an IDE drive failed the read portion of the self test, try running Dell diagnostic's extended test on the hard drive.
After reinstalling XP, did you install all the drivers and applications in the correct order, see HERE?

Even though I wiped my hard drive I can still do a system restore?
