Disable Raid - Help Needed

Question

Hi everyone, I have a big problem and need your assistance to over come it.  I have a new Dimension 9150 Viiv Pentium D930, with 500GB (2*250) 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive DUAL HDD CONFIG RAID 0 Stripe. I decided that I didnt want to use a RAID setup and would be better of with 2 independant drives instead (i.e one 'C' drive and one 'D' drive, one for operating system and applications and another for media files) and set out to do this by reading some of the threads I have come across. But it has all gone pear shaped and I have disabled the raid from the BIOS option, deleted the partition and the whole machine has become unbootable. I have also lost the backup image that Dell ship their PCs with. What do I do now? I have on CDROM the operation system and drivers. Would anybody please help me out here and run me through what I need to do from this point onwards so that I can have two independant drives running instead of one and the best way of configuring my system again with all the dell facilities and setup (everything that it came with apart from the RAID setup)   Thanks SHAK

ok, now that all data on the drives are gone.. you need the windows XP CD and Drivers.   Set the SATA operation to 'combination' or 'combo'. Boot to the windows XP CD. Create what partitions you need for Disk 0. (you only need to create one for the primary disk, you can do the other one later). Quick format. once installation is complete install your drivers.
