Disk Read Error
I am working with a Dell Optiplex 320 and am getting an error message that says "Disk read error Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" which does nothing. I ran the Hard Drive Diagnostics and got these results:
Drive 0: ST3160815AS-Passed
Drive 1: HL-DT-ST CD-RW/DVD-ROM GCC-H10N-Diagnostics not supported
Drive 2-5: No device
Could someone please give me some ideas on what to do?

Startup files (MBR OR LTLDR) are missing/corrupted is my guess.
Is this XP or Vista?

I would do a "repair in place". Instructions are here:
