Would this page work for a CD/DVD drive that is not recognized on a E310 Dimension / Windows Media Edition, that has no yellow (!) on the device driver page and when clicked on says "This device is working properly". The CD/DVD is not recognized at all by the computer. When a CD or DVD is inserted the message "Please insert CD in drive D" is displayed" but as I said, when I checked Device Manager, it said it is working properly.
Just to piggy-back on this discussion, I have a similar problem with my Dimension 3100. My computer just doesn't seem to recognize the date on my CDs. I don't use this drive much but in the last few months, I put a CD (data) in and try to open it and it opens but shows nothing on the CD. The CD and all of its files are accessable on other computers. Any thoughts?
You really should start your own thread. This thread will become very confusing to all of us. Since you are here: what is the brand and model of the drive.

Disregard the reference to Roxio.

It has the potential of improving disc reading.

I take it you are running OK now? Glad to hear it.
I feared the thread may become confusing. Best regards.
