DVD player not playing dvd but plays anything else
I have a new computer that i have had for about 2 months. THe dvd player used to play dvd's but now it just plays about 1 second of the dvd and freezes, or it freezes on teh menu screen. It will play music cd's just fine. I don't know what the problem is. THe dvdrom is reading the disk it just won't play them. someone please help me!

If the drive is able to read the DVD data structure, try uninstalling all DVD player software, check on Microsoft’s web site for any updates to Windows Media Player (install them) and then reinstall your DVD player software; now check to see if you can play a DVD.
