DVD +R or -R

It would be helpful if you could post the exact make and model of your DVD burner as the writing capability varies between different models.

If you can indeed burn both -R and +R media, I would opt for -R media. This is especially true if you are going to be burning videos to be played on DVD players. Some DVD players don't like +R media (Panasonic being one of the brands). Yes, there are ways to make a Panasonic player play a +R (by setting the booktype), but this requires more work and I have found that -R is just easier.
