If you ran the Dell Diagnostics on the drive and it returned an error code 2000-0152, the drive has failed and needs to be replaced. It cannot be fixed.
You have a laptop system. I am not that familiar with what particular drives can go into your system. If you can post the Model of the drive I may be able to trace it. You can contact Dell or perhaps someone will read this post who is familiar with your system.

This link goes to a place that says click here for the answer for 0152- then there is no answer related to this issue.
I am also having the same error code 2000-0152. All I can find is to replace the CD drive?
Wish I could get this fixed, but can't seem to find any answers.

Hi Workwithliz,
If your warranty's expiration date is so recent, I suggest you still contact Dell about service.
