Hi, Have you seen this Dell support journal HERE on the 0152

July 5th, 2011 13:00

This link goes to a place that says click here for the answer for 0152- then there is no answer related to this issue.

I am also having the same error code 2000-0152.   All I can find is to replace the CD drive?

Wish I could get this fixed, but can't seem to find any answers.

If you ran the Dell Diagnostics on the drive and it returned an error code 2000-0152, the drive has failed and needs to be replaced.  It cannot be fixed.

You have a laptop system.  I am not that familiar with what particular drives can go into your system.  If you can post the Model of the drive I may be able to trace it.  You can contact Dell or perhaps someone will read this post who is familiar with your system.

Hi Workwithliz,

If your warranty's expiration date is so recent, I suggest you still contact Dell about service.
