Hi Bunnie,

If you can go to Device Manager on your PC and click on the "+" next to DVD/CD Drives, then post the names of your drives here, one of the Regulars can confirm what type of drives you actually have.

ok all this is what I found. It says dvd/cd-rom drives. when I click on the plus sign it says Lite-On Ltn4865 48xMax. Can You all tell Im new at this stuff? Sorry. I hope somebody can help me. Oh by the way I have a Dell Dim 2400 system. Let me know if I can give any more info to you all.

The Lite-on LTN4865 CD-ROM is not a CDRW drive and cannot write to CDR or CDRW media.
