Error 2000-0147
I'm using Dell vostro 1014 for last 6 years. Today I encountered an error that prevents my laptop to boot. On boot it gives "no bootable media found" . I press f5 to diagnoses error and ger "Error Code 2000-0147". I google error code and figured out that it is related to Optical drive and I need to replace my CD/DVD writer. I haven't used my Optical drive in last 4 years and I don't think I'm ever going to need it. But this is not allowing my laptop to boot.
What should I do now ?. I don't want to waste money buying a CD/DVD writer which I'm not going to use it.

Hi Anujshonline,
Please try disabling your DVD drive in the BIOS and removing it from the system. Then try to boot. A failed DVD drive should not prevent the system from booting, so it's likely you have some other problem.
