It would seem that you have a failed hard drive and it needs to be replaced.
If your system is under warranty, contact Dell's Technical Support and tell the Techie, that you have run diagnostics and give the error message.
You could try to save the data, by installing the hard drive as a slave on a working system, or installing in an powered USB 2.0 external SATA enclosure and see if you can transfer the files.

You can try using the chkdsk/f/r option or the Recovery Console, but the more a failed hard drive is used, can lessen the chances of recovering the data.

It did. After that I put the disk as a slave to another disk and transferred the data to a new one. And everything is working again! Dell told me that there were nothing to do. That I had to throw the damaged disk away and use another one.

Then I'll get a local expert to give it a try with my messed up disk as well ( I don't like the inside of a computer myself - and I don't take the risk messing it up even more).
Maybe there still is a chance I'lll be able to enjoy 3+ years of family pictures and movies!!
Backup routines in our living room hasn't been to good...... But today I bought a 500 GB external HDD so it won't happen again!!

Thank you for getting back and answering the other person's query.
It is always good to post back and let people know if a suggested fix worked or not.
