What is the name/model of the drive in question? Sometimes is can be a simple driver issue, at the CD/RW link, try Section 15, article 1.
Best Regards!
God, grant me the senility to forget the people I never liked anyway, the good fortune to run into the ones I do and the eyesight to tell the difference. CD/RW Link
By the way, I also went to your Section 15, Article 1 - and followed the instructions for uninstalling the device and rebooting. But once the device and driver were automatically reinstalled upon reboot - the problem remains.
Try the Del firmware update for this drive listed here: Firmware update
Best Regards!
