Possibly. Set your computer to boot from the Dell diagnostics disk and run a check of your hard drive. The diagnostics diskettes may be prepared from the download here:
Well I downloaded and built the five diskettes, but the system doesn't even activate the 3.5" diskette drive to read it, and I still get the same message....I guess it's time to call 1-800-support.
Thanks for the help. Will let you know how I get it resolved.
