May I assume you're running Windows XP? This may indicate you have a problem with your hard drive. Try running chkdsk (in System tools) to see if it can be fixed. You may also want to run a diagnostic from the hard drive manufacturer. Visit their site or post your hard drive manufacturer and someone can provide the URL for the file you need.

Yes I am running XP-Home and the Harddrive is ST380021A (80.03 GB) ( I guess it is made by seagate)

Thank you .

Go here and download the Seatools desktop version:

http://www.seagate.com/support/seatools/

This program will tell you whether you have a repairable problem.
