Hard drive error code 0146 200-1046
My inspiron1545 will not start up. Running the diagnosics give the following message
Error code 0146 Msg: Error Code 2000 - 0146 Msg: Hard Drive 0 Self test Log contains previous errors
From what I have been reading my Hard drive is broken and needs to be replaced. Also I dont have any windows disks so can I get some from Dell. I bought the laptop about 18 months ago. Is that right

Hi Nagoya,
You can order replacement Windows and other discs from here. You'll need those to reinstall the OS. And you'll need a new hard drive. Any standard SATA laptop drive should work.

@osprey4 hi I had the same code even after replacing the hard drive I don't know how to erase the log
