You can partition the C : drive while reinstalling XP using the bootable reinstall CD that came with the computer, or if you do not wish to reinstall, then you can use a third party utility, such as "Partition Magic" or "Casper Drive2Drive"
The following are the XP reinstall instructions for the XPS.
